Councillor Peter Hemphill, the longest serving, Hobsons Bay City Council, councillor was elected to his third term as mayor. He joins former councillor, Angela Altair, as the only Hobsons Bay councillor to serve for three mayoral terms.

As the representative for the Strand Ward, Councillor Hemphill is Hobsons Bay’s longest-serving councillor, having spent 22 years in the role being first elected in 1999.
