This year,  Victorians born in 1966 reach a significant milestone, becoming eligible for a Seniors Card. Exhibition is available to view at Williamstown Library during opening hours between Saturday, 03 October 2026 to Monday, 02 November 2026.

This exhibition looks back at the year they entered the world, exploring the events, fashions, music, technology, news and everyday life that shaped the era. Through photographs, newspapers, local stories and historical records, visitors are invited to rediscover 1966 and reflect on six decades of change.

Whether you were born that year, remember it well, or are curious about life in mid-century Australia, this exhibition offers a nostalgic and engaging journey into a pivotal moment in our shared history.
