The Homestead is currently displaying items from the the Museum of Recorded Sound which have been loaned to our Society by Graeme Kerss. Some items go back to the early 1900’s showing the various forms of how sound was recorded and played right up to the 21st Century and the mobile phone.
This is a nostalgic look back in time from various phonograph disc records for gramophones to vinyl records for turntable players. Then through time to cassettes, compact discs, laser discs and mp3 players.
Also on display are various Beta, VHS tapes and DVD picture recordings.
