Present at the opening ceremony included: Mayor (City of Altona) Cr Les Crofts, Crs Pat Burns, Doug Grant, Pat Lynch and Harry Weaver, PMG’s Public Relations Office Mr Metcalfe, Director of Posts and Telegraphs Mr G N Smith and Hon.
