Cruzin’ Knights Car Club Memorabilia Display

The Cruzin’ Knights’ Car Club memorabilia display, hosted by the Altona Laverton Historical Society, at the Altona Homestead will commence on Saturday 20th January 10am – 12pm.

The club was formed in the year 2000 and meetings were held in Werribee where like-minded car enthusiast gathered. Their goals remain to:

  1. provide a club where car enthusiasts can meet and discuss all matters relating to cars and motorcycles.
  2. share knowledge and resources and promote team work
  3. raise money for charities
  4. promote an interest in cars and motorcycles in the wider community by holding Car Shows to showcase their automobiles and bikes – proudly sponsored by “Show Room Finishes”.
  5. teach younger members how to responsibly restore vintage cars
  6. promote responsible car ownership and safe driving practices
  7. promote & support local Hobsons’ Bay businesses
  8. provide a social outlet for the members while raising money for charities through Rock n Roll Dances, Car Runs, a Christmas Party, Car Shows and a craft market.

Charities that have benefited from fundraising activities are: Prostate Awareness, Beyond Blue, Bowel Cancer Research, Bladder Cancer Research, Leukaemia Society, Peter MacCallum Hospital, the Salvation Army, Christmas Appeal.
